Students of Grades S5 to S7 of The Modern School, Greater Faridabad, with an interest in Legal Studies and the system of law, got the golden opportunity to be a witness to the Law Symposium titled ‘Bachpan Ka Saffar’ organised by the Embassy of the United States of America in collaboration with former Supreme Court Judge Justice A.K. Sikri and former Additional Solicitor General of India Ms. Pinky Anand.

The Law Symposium conducted in four separate sessions had a glittering list of eminent speakers from varied fields. The Sessions of the Symposium included talks on pressing topics like Parental Alienation, the Effects of prolonged custody disputes on children, Global best practices for litigating Family disputes, and Mediation.

The list of speakers included Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, Hon’ble Law Minister for State Govt. of India; Ms. Khushboo Sunder, Actor and National Commission for Women; Justice A. K. Sikri; former Additional Solicitor General of India Ms. Pinky Anand.

Dr. Aruna Broota, a renowned Psychologist and several famous personalities from the field of Law, Social Welfare, and Media.

The Symposium highlighted the need of litigating several provisions for the benefit of children caught in custody disputes. It brought to light the psychological trauma a child faces in the situation.

The Symposium had a deep impact on the thought process of young law enthusiasts who tried to understand the importance and responsibility of studying Law through this one example.
