76th Independence Day was celebrated on 10th August, 2023 in The Modern School to honour thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives and served this glorious country with valour. Mr. Rajesh Chechi, DSP, CM Flying Squad, Haryana was the chief guest.  Dignitaries including Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh, Former President, Board of Trustees, Modern School, Ms. Jyoti Raina, chairperson of The Modern School, Greater Faridabad, Ms. Meera Malhotra, Academic Coordinator, Board of Trustees, Modern School, Mrs. and Mr. Gupta, Mr. Rahul Krishna Member of School Managing Committee and Mr. Vinod Chhawri, RWA President, Princess Park society, Faridabad graced the occasion as the Guests of honour.The students presented an instrumental rendition of patriotic songs and enthralled the audience. A heart touching depiction titled ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan was put forward by students with zest and fervour to signify the important role of soldiers and farmers in upholding the pride of the country. The drama was spell binding and evoked the real life struggles of the families of Farmers and Soldiers.To make the event an astounding and grand one; more than 350 students participated in different performances. 

Dr. Umesh Kumar Chhikara, Principal paid his obeisance to the martyrs in his speech and talked about the necessity to be free of fears.  Mr. Rajesh Chechi in his oration mentioned the role of youth in reforming India and sculpting a bright future. The Parents and other guests praised the efforts of teachers and students for setting up such a wonderful program.
