An activity was introduced during the assembly with the theme of creating hidden messages using the knowledge of basic chemistry. Two activities were performed with the first one explaining about the hydrophobic and hydrophilic nature of substances with the help of wax crayons and paints. 

The other activity showed the students how a message written with the solution of baking soda can be made visible with the help of lemon juice as neutralization takes place because of the reaction between an acid and a base. It was a very interesting insight for the students to understand the concept of chemistry in the form of an activity and try it out as a game among themselves and also learn simultaneously.
