Emotional Well being

Emotional health is an important part of overall health. People who are emotionally healthy are in control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. They’re able to cope with life’s challenges. To take care of emotional health of our students, a workshop on ‘Emotional Well-being’ was conducted on Wednesday, 17th May, 2023 in The Modern School for the students of Grade S1-S7. The resource person of the workshop was Ms. Anuna Bordoloi, a renowned clinical psychologist in the Department of Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences at Fortis Healthcare. 

Workshop started with the explanation of the word ‘emotions’ and its impact. An activity was conducted with the students where they were asked to write any 10 emotions. Ms. Anuna explained the relationship between thoughts, feeling and behaviour and how any negative emotion can impact the behaviour of a person.

She discussed the ways of reducing the intensity of behaviour. In another activity students were asked to make a pie chart of their emotions in last 7 days. Ms. Anuna then discussed that how we can replace the unpleasant emotions with pleasant ones. This will impact the behaviour of a person in a positive way.

The workshop was very informative and interactive. Students were engaged throughout the workshop.
