On Thursday, April 20, 2023, The Modern School, Greater Faridabad, had a special assembly to observe World Earth Day and promote awareness about the importance of conserving the planet. The proceedings of the assembly commenced with a recitation of morning prayers, succeeded by an exchange delivered by the students on the subject of environmental conservation and the preservation of our planet’s natural resources. The initiative placed significant emphasis on the planting of trees and the segregation of wet and dry waste to facilitate efficient decomposition. The students were informed about the adoption of the principle of the 3 R's, namely, reuse, recycle, and reduce. The students of class S5 B conveyed a message through a dance performance concerning the impact of global warming and the measures that responsible citizens can take to mitigate its effects. The Principal, Dr. U.K. Chhikara, imparted his advice to the listeners, encouraging them to engage in the preservation of the environment.
