Conference on NEP 2020- Merging Culture and STEM for a better India

A conference was organized by two groups, Routes 2 Roots in collaboration with FLITE Labs by iRobokids on 5th August 2023 to integrate Art & Culture, and Technology as a part of the School Curriculum. The aim was to give students a diverse, more interactive and unique platform for learning according to their strengths and weaknesses. Routes 2 Roots presented their initiative VIRSA, a digital learning of Performing Arts providing an interactive digital teaching platform for performing arts with a global reach. The inculcation of A as Arts in the STEM technique of learning making it a STEAM technique was proposed at the conference and its benefits and possible outcomes for students as well as teachers were discussed by the members of the discussion panel formed by esteemed educators from famous institutes like AIIMS and IGNOU. 

The conference witnessed valuable insights and opinions from Shri Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble Minister of State for Defence and Tourism, Government of India, who attended the conference as the Chief Guest. 

Mr Amarendra Behera, Joint Director, NCERT, Mr Vijay Kumar, Director (SSS) NIOS, Mr S L Jain, Director, Mahavir Senior Model School, Dr G. L. Jonathan, CEO, Apex public school, and other dignitaries also graced the seminar with their presence. It was a very enriching and knowledgeable event for all the educators on how to make their teaching techniques more interactive and learning for students giving special consideration to every child’s weaknesses, strengths, thought processes and interests.
