On September 21, 2024, a workshop titled "Circuit Design: A Blend of Art and Science" took place at the IIT Delhi campus. Professor Ankesh Jain hosted the lecture at the lecture hall complex. The workshop commenced at 12:00 pm with an introduction to electronic circuits, followed by an overview of the research conducted by Professor Ankesh on the reduction in IC technology in recent years. The concept of an energy harvester, utilized as an energy generation source in various biosensors, was thoroughly explained. Students engaged in discussions regarding the disparity between energy harvesters and piezoelectric energy generation. Two students, Kushagra Gautam and Garv Rajput, posed pertinent questions about the energy production through energy harvesters and their applications. Professor Ankesh concluded the session with a demonstration of an energy harvester that he had designed during his research. Overall, the workshop was fruitful, providing students with valuable insights into small-scale energy generation.
