blood donation camp
A blood donation camp and a recognition ceremony was successfully organized by the Interact club of The Modern School in association with the Rotary Club of Delhi and the Rotary Club of Faridabad Aravalli at the school campus on Saturday, May 20, 2022. Banners and posters inviting people to donate blood were put up in popular public places in and around the locality. A team of dedicated doctors was there to ensure proper testing and smooth functioning of the camp. The camp proved very successful, as people participated enthusiastically. The recognition ceremony included a range of cultural programs performed by the effervescent students of the school . Rtn. N.K. Lamba, Assistant Governor District 3011, graced the occasion as the chief guest, along with Rtn. Vinod Sawhney, President Rotary Club of Delhi, and Ms. Meera Malhotra, Academic Coordinator, Board of Trustees Modern School, as the special guests of the day. The principal, Dr. U.K. Chhikara, felicitated the guests and formally inaugurated the event with lamp lighting with the dignitaries. Students presented a song, dance, and skit with a message to donate blood and the importance of blood donation camps, followed by a welcome speech by the Interact Club’s Vice President and a report presentation by the secretary of the club. In his speech, Rtn. N.K. Lamba urged the gathering to contribute to society with their noble deeds and leave a footprint towards sustaining the environment, and he also appreciated the Interactors for holding the maximum number of projects throughout their session of 2022–2023.
The donors took part in the drive enthusiastically and were given certificates, medals, and refreshments for their unconditional support.
The event concluded with the announcement of the new Interact Club officer bearers.
