When the world is moving towards divide and individualism, education based on the firm principles of humanism is vital to creating global citizens. As Virgina Gildersleeve says- “The ability to think straight, some knowledge of the past, some vision of the future, some skill to do useful service, some urge to fit that service into the well-being of the community- these are the most vital things education must try to produce.” Our future leaders must not only hone their skills and abilities but also become wiser and compassionate, respecting each life. Empowering young minds to dedicate themselves to the greater good and creating value in even the direst circumstances will ensure unfettered and tremendous growth of society. Making an impact and understanding the implications of that impact are two different things- future leaders in education will do both. Ms Meera Malhotra believes instilling the importance of peace, culture and education, and enabling every child to grow in their unique way which will go a long way towards creating a happier and harmonious world.
