The Annual Sports Day of
the Pre-primary and Primary wing of TMS, Fbd was celebrated with great pomp and
excitement. Preparations had started earlier in form of certain events,
practice, and of course, the fanfare. But the final day had a different
grandeur. The anxiousness, the excitement, the zeal, the shine in the eyes of
the athletes, the passion and determination in those bright eyes, everything
had a story to narrate
The morn of 15th February presented a wonderful sight of TMS with the sporting arena – the ground, magnificently decorated, the colours of rangoli at the entrance anxiously awaiting the guests, the tracks gaping with wonder, patiently waiting for the sprinters to stamp their authority.
Sharp at 9.30 am, the Chief Guest, Mr.Bhupinder Singh, Dhyaan Chand Awardee arrived amidst the band playing in complete sync. The other eminent dignitaries included Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh Senior Member, BOT, Modern School, Mr. KK Agrawal, Mr. Kuldeep, Head Coach, football, Government of Haryana.The dignitaries were extended a warm welcome on the red carpet, and led to the dais where they were greeted with a sapling. The Principal, Ms. Neetu Blest, officially welcomed the Chief Guest and other Dignitaries. In her welcome speech she highlighted on the importance of Games and Sports and Sportsmanship. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest in his speech praised the school and School Administration He recollected memories of his school days and reiterated the importance of playing sports. Thereafter he declared the Annual Sports, 2020 open amidst release of blue and white balloons -symbolizing peace and happiness.
The event began with the scintillating skating act. Students right from KG to P4 participated and stole the hearts of the audience.
The various races of the Nursery and Kindergarten, brought alive the ground with parents cheering their wards at their best. The other races included frog jump and the evergreen lemon and spoon race. The rainbow drill was the cherry on the top of the cake.
The events brought out varied emotions. The jubilant winners were applauded. The tiny little sprinters won everyone's heart. The Grand Finale was a treat to the eyes. A group photograph of the tiny tots with the Chief Guest is a memory that will remain etched in the hearts of the parents forever.
