Basant Panchami

या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता या वीणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपद्मासना।

Basant Panchami, also known as Vasant Panchami is celebrated in reverence to the Hindu deity Goddess Saraswati, epitome of learning, music & art. People celebrate this day by visiting temples, flying kites, and donating to the needy. To celebrate this festival, the students of The Modern School, Faridabad held a Special Assembly. Students of class P1 and P2 presented beautiful dance and a musical rendition. The spring of joy took over when a prayer ceremony worshipping Goddess Saraswati was led by offerings of spring flowers by the School Principal and Students of Grade S5. Later all students partook the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The Principal Ms. Neetu Blest motivated the students to be progressive learners, setting big goals and putting dedicated efforts as a promising & flourishing human harvest. The talk on Martyr’s Day made them aware about the sacrifices of the martyrs for the country. 2 mins of silence was also kept as a mark of respect to Gandhi ji, the Father of Our Nation. The assembly concluded with distribution of Prasadam amongst the students and the staff. We at The Modern School always look forward for a blend of Values and Modernisation.
