Assessment and Evaluation

The school follows an evaluation process evenly distributed in the cource of Academic Session. It is done through oral and written assignments, project work and observational activities. The academic session is divided into two terms: April to September and October to March.
For Classes Nursery to P3No formal examination system is followed for these classes. The progress of the children will be evaluated through a checklist of assignments, observational activities and classroom interactions.
For Classes P4 & P5The children will be evaluated through oral and written assignments, project work ,observational activities and classroom interactions. Besides, there will be four Tuesday cycles of Unit Tests in P4. Each Unit Test will be of 30 marks. There will be 3 cycles of Unit Tests in P5 and one Term Exam at the end of the session. Dates of these tests / exam are given in the syllabus booklet. In case there is any change the student will be informed by school.
For Classes S1 to S3CBSE has reintroduced Board Examination for class X from Academic Year 2017-18 onwards. The new scheme for classes VI-VIII has been designed on Term Assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the students move forward. This would prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of the academic year and face the challenge of class X Board examination, and would thus, ensure the ‘quality of education’.
Scholastic Area:The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explained:
Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes VI - X):For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out.
1. Work Education - Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.
2. Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)
3. Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)
Discipline (Classes VI - X):
The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair).
