The Modern School, Faridabad celebrated its First Annual Day and the annual exhibition amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. Padma Shri Mr. Nila Madhab Panda was the esteemed Chief Guest and Padma Bhushan Dr. Uma Sharma, the Guest of Honour. Among other dignitaries present were Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh, President Board of Trustees, Ms Ambika Pant, Honorary Secretary, Board of Trustees, Ms.Neelam Puri, Academic Director, Managed Modern Schools, Heads of other branches and other members of Board of Trustees. The exhibition is organised every year to encourage the budding scientists of the school .The event saw young and enthusiastic students of Grades Nursery to P2 of The Modern School, Faridabad and Charmwood displaying their exhibits in a beautiful way which was truly an eye catcher. The students of Grades P3 to S3 showcased their talent in Science, Mathematics, Social Science, computers, languages and Arts.The exhibits included still models, working models and projects.
Thereafter, the cultural program commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Guest of Honour, the other dignitaries and the Headmistress, Ms. Neetu Blest. It was followed by a formal welcome of the eminent guests by the Headmistress who then read the School’s Annual report of the past session. In the Prize Distribution Ceremony, the Guest of Honour gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the school.
The play based on the theme ‘Ashoka – The Mauryan’ commenced with a scintillating welcome dance followed by a group song. The play depicted the life of Ashoka – his childhood, adulthood and his transformation post Kalinga war. The students performed with exuberance and unmatched zeal and rhythm. The guests were impressed by the presentations and congratulated the participants. The proud parents appreciated the hard work put up by the students under the guidance of their teachers. This event was indeed unique since it embraced analytical and artistic talents of our students. Overall, this spectacular experience was a feast to everyone’s eyes.
